This qualification supports those working in organizations providing care to those individuals who lack capacity by providing the underpinning knowledge and understanding of how the Act is applied in workplace practice.
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 2 qualification in a health or social care related area.
How is it assessed?
To achieve the Level 3 Award in the Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the mandatory unit. Grades are not awarded. The Level 3 Award in the Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 is internally assessed.
